On July 30, 2025, the ABOTA Fort Lauderdale Chapter presented an updated Zoom webinar on the Trial Bar’s experiences with the new and revised Florida Rules of Civil Procedure which went into effect on January 1, 2025. The live event took place with a panel of three Judges and ABOTA Fort Lauderdale Chapter President Tammy Alvarez, Esq., and included questions and issues presented by the audience. Florida CLE information follows the presentation. Viewers should not claim CLE credits unless they have viewed the entire program.


Some of the topics included: Recent changes to Fla. R. Civ. P. 1.280, Initial Disclosures; Computation of Damages; Proportionality v.
