The Broward County Bar Association, along with the Fort Lauderdale Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, are working with other South Florida organizations to send relief supplies to Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa’s Category 5 devastation on the island.

The Bar Association headquarters, at 1051 SE 3d Avenue, in Fort Lauderdale, is the local drop off point for this program. Trucks will pick up the donated supplies and materials from that location and will be taken to the GEM (Global Empowerment Mission) facility in Doral for delivery to Jamaica.

Questions about this relief effort can be directed to Braulio Rosa, Executive Director of the Broward County Bar Association here. For those who have questions about the ABOTA Fort Lauderdale effort, please contact Mitch Chester here.

Your donated goods, as specified above, and monetary donations are urgently needed to support relief efforts in the aftermath of extensive and heart breaking damage to homes and survivors.
