New Mothers can be excused from jury service (Effective July 1, 2024)

HB 461: Mothers will be excused from jury service starting on July 1, 2024. According to the Florida Bar News on April 30, 2024, the new law will require Courts to grant excuses "upon request, to any woman who has given birth up to six months before the reporting date on the jury summons."
