With concerns that the Broward County Courthouse may someday be temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ABOTA Fort Lauderdale has proposed that Circuit Civil Division special set and motion calendar hearings be conducted via remote video conferencing.
This option would allow Judges, attorneys, Court Reporters, Court Clerks and parties to participate in keeping civil cases moving forward in times of disruption. Besides hearings, electronic calendar calls, emergency hearings and non-jury trials can be conducted.
